CAS Early Career Event (February)

This session is designed for early career researchers in humanities and the social sciences, especially:

• final year PhD students;
• postdoc researchers without a permanent academic post;
• ECRs with an established academic post, looking for their first major grant.

It will cover:

• Fellowship applications – whether, when, where and how to apply
• Advice on crafting funding applications and details of the UoN support available
• The applicant’s perspective – advice from an early career fellowship holder
• The reviewer’s perspective – advice from an ESRC funding panel member
• Details of ongoing training and support for skills development from the Graduate School
